AN OPEN LETTER TO MR PETER OBI AND THE STAKEHOLDERS OF THE NDC PARTY

‎The Honourable and Esteemed Stakeholders of NDC party

‎I wish to call your attention to the condescending and traumatizing communication forwarded to me by one of the candidates seeking a public office under the aegis of the reputable NDC Party. He is MR FIDELIS DUKER aspirant for the position of Member, House of Representatives to represent Akpabuyo/Bakassi/Calabar South Federal Constituency

‎Following DUKER's countless supercilious posts on his official Facebook handle, in which he consistently denigrated the 2026 NBA conference LOC for inviting a social influencer, Mr Vincent Otse Martins to the NBA conference at Port-Harcourt, DUKER launched a ballistic attack on me, for expressing an opinion which did not align with his.

‎Amidst arguments for and against the decision of the NBA conference LOC to invite OTSE, someone dropped a comment on his post to which MR FIDELIS DUKER questioned the validity of the fact raised. I also responded: I WILL BORROW MONEY AND BUY YOU A COW IF NBA INVITES YOU AS A PANELIST.

‎To this response, MR FIDELIS DUKER fired a message to my inbox. See image attached.

‎It must be kept in view that the NDC party carries the weight of the sentiments of many Nigerians, and represents the ideological and political intellection that most political parties in Nigeria cannot relate with.

‎Over time, the Obidient and Kwankwasiyya movements have been built on a massive ideology that espouses deliberate economic progression, respect for and tolerance of persons irrespective of their status, gender, social class or general background, good and intentional leadership sustained by responsive and responsible modeling, compassion towards ordinary citizens, education and good healthcare, security, women and youth empowerment; and sincere and demonstrable patriotism driven by trust and obedience.

‎The comment section of DUKER's official Facebook handle is open to his friends and followers by HIM, to express themselves; therefore, his intolerance for harmless dissenting views, is worrisome and hypocritical. 

‎Being a person who deems himself fit for a public office, one would expect that DUKER would demonstrate good and exemplary leadership skills on his social media page, before any other platform.

‎MR FIDELIS DUKER by his message to me, demonstrates one who lacks emotional stability, gender tolerance and democratic disposition. His decision to fire a toxic message to me via my inbox, is a serpentine move not to attract an outrage on his post, which would be expected. 

‎This manipulative and pretentious approach to silence me behind the scene, is unacceptable. He clearly understands the weight of the message he meant to forward to me, and it's possible harm to his public image; reason he resorted to responding to me offline.

‎DUKER's inability to show restraint, wisdom and sagacity in the spirit of democracy, exposes his affinity to draconian mindset, and is tantamount to psychological abuse, especially in insinuating that I am dreaming of getting l laid by Mr Martins Otse Vincent. 

‎By the above, DUKER indirectly, called me a lose woman whose only ambition is to get laid by a random young man who is clearly, about the age of my first son. 

‎DUKER's character flaw should not be overlooked, and he must be winnowed thoroughly, if the NDC will be duly represented by his presumed questionable personality.

‎Despite my comment not containing provocative or abrasive content, DUKER's rage over a sarcastic comment, indeed, portrays him as one who lacks leadership qualities irrespective of positions he may have held in the past especially in Nollywood; an undemocratic entity, misogynist and bad image of what true representation signifies.

‎Unable to curb his gender bias and authoritarian disposition, DUKER should be put through further intense mentoring to ensure his candidacy would not discredit the party or tamper with its goodwill.

‎It is obvious that DUKER may not be tolerant to dissenting views, embrace gender equity and uphold democracy in his constituency, if elected; judging by his failure to meander through the minor disagreement between him and his social media follower.

‎DUKER may likely be an entity possessing a rustic mentality and ideology, but using NDC as an available platform to launch his mainstream political ambition.

‎Several posts shared by DUKER on his official Facebook page gives him away as temperamental, contemptuous and controversial in a negative way. He should be bridled.

‎FIDELIS DUKER, by this singular reaction to a harmless comment which did not undermine his person or destroy his ambition in any way, is a man to be wary of.
